Phase-wise Launch, what’s that and why we do it??

Yesterday we went live with Phase 1 of a launch for a client, Director’s Edition.(Check out their website here.)…you might be wondering:
What does “Phase 1” mean? Why not launch everything at once?

Here’s the deal:

Director’s Edition’s busy season starts in a few weeks. They needed to launch before that.
But the project started too late and  We had to be flexible.
Phase 1 is the soft launch.
Phase 1 is an improved user experience based on our initial research. Phase 1 addresses the core need Director’s Edition came to us for. As we move into Phase 2, we’ll continue to watch site engagement and add the eye-catching nuances that improve conversions where they count.

Why do we do this?
Director’s Edition’s busy season is soon. We have to launch with enough buffer time to collect the data we use to tweak the site for better conversions.
Many companies come to us in anticipation of a busy season. Missing the deadline means waiting another year. We can’t let that happen. We soft launch for speed. You get the improved website faster. (Which means you get more time to optimize for conversions.)

Until next time.
